WHH PARTNERSHIP

Tingathe has now partnered with Welthungerhilfe (WHH) – a German organization that runs the SkillUp! programme whose objective, like Tingathe, is Strengthening Skills Development, Creating Future Perspectives for the youth in the community.

This partnership is aimed at increasing Tingathe’s capacity in implementing and achieving its flagship programme’s – Tingathe Training Programme’s (TTP) – goals and objectives.

This will come in the form of enhancement of Tingathe’s organizational capacities with special focus on finance and logistics.

We have found a likeminded partner in WHH who is as intent as us on seeing the most marginalized in communities attain wellbeing. This partnership is the beginning of even greater opportunities for vulnerable young people in Malawi” Sarah Lindeire, Co-Founder / Executive Director, Tingathe.

Our vision as WHH is a world in which all people can exercise their right to a self-determined life in dignity and justice, free of hunger and poverty. Supporting vulnerable young Malawians to develop skills that support themselves and their community is crucial for us and with Tingathe we found a partner whose passion and determination to work for and with young people is remarkable.” Jane Michel, WHH Program Coordinator

Skill Up! is an 8 country program by WHH and partners in Afghanistan, Tajikistan, India, Nepal, Sierra Leone, Kenya, Uganda and now in Malawi, under Tingathe’s TTP programme. The program is funded by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
