Tingathe Peri-urban Horticulture Students Visit Never Ending Food

Peter Kaniye (Immediate right), Farm Manager, and Kristof Nordin, Farm Owner (second right) welcome Tingathe students.

On 21 February 2023, our Peri-urban Horticulture students had an educational visit to Never Ending Food, a permaculture farm located at Chitedze Training Centre in Lilongwe. The trip was organized to allow the students to learn and explore how Permaculture ideas can be integrated with what they learn in Peri-Urban Horticulture so that when they graduate, they should be changemakers in their communities.

Under the guidance of Peter Kaniye, who is the manager of the farm, the students had a tour around Never Ending Food, learning about things like Permaculture guilds, Permaculture zones, Worm Farming, fish farming, liquid manure, composting toilets, rainwater harvesting, and many other things.

The students were excited about the trip, and we believe that what they have learned here will be put to use. Tingathe would like to thank the owners of Never Ending Food, Kristof and Stacia Nordin for allowing our students to visit their farm.
